GRIFFIN GUN CLUB

P.O. BOX 311

Griffin, GA.  30224

The Griffin Gun Club, Inc. is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation dedicated to development of the shooting sports, promotion of hunting and firearms safety, promotion of responsible gun ownership, preservation of the rights of gun owners, and the operation of range facilities for firearms training and recreational shooting.

GGC has completed shotgun, rifle and pistol ranges for our community through our fund raising projects and member contributions of time and money. The physical plant consists of four skeet fields  with one trap field, a one hundred meter combination rifle and pistol range with a covered firing points, a combat pistol range and a 1500 square foot clubhouse.

Membership is open to those individuals and their families who believe in the goals and purposes of the Griffin Gun Club. There is provision for limited guest use of the rifle/pistol and shotgun ranges. All members and guests must read the range safety rules and sign a liability waiver prior to shooting.  There are  opportunities for supervised training programs for the public. A limited number of memberships are available subject to the provisions of the application and the current membership limits.

All prospective new member applications must include a sponsor and endorsee, meet the approval of the Board of Directors, and be submitted to the club membership for approval. The application must include the $200 Initiation Fee and the $150.00 Annual dues ($350.00) unless another dues category is desired. Proof of membership in the National Rifle Association or a check payable to the National Rifle Association (NRA) must be included. New club annual memberships will be pro-rated at $12.50 per remaining club year month. The club membership year runs from June 1 to May 31.  If club membership exceeds the current membership limits, applications will be placed on a waiting list with a $25.00 deposit.

All Griffin Gun Club members are required to continue their NRA membership. Club liability insurance is provided through the NRA.  Dues for the NRA can be paid through the club.

All Participating club members are required to provide 12 hours of yearly service to the club. This can be through work at gun shows, operation or maintenance of the firing range, instruction or special projects.  Committees serve the various club service areas and members are encouraged to select the service area they would most enjoy. These members are expected to work a minimum of four hours yearly at the gun shows. New members service hours are pro-rated at one hour monthly from the first full month of membership to the end of the club year, which is May 31. Members not working their participatory hours will be billed $15.00/hr. for unworked hours by the Secretary.

Club dues are payable June 1 of each year. Membership and dues are as follows:
